All of Hebrews KJV

1 Now the main point of what we are saying is this: we do have such a high priest, one who has taken his seat at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens,

2 a minister in the holy places, in the true tent that the Lord set up, not a man.

3 For every high priest is appointed to offer gifts and sacrifices; so it was necessary for this one also to have something to offer.

4 Now if he were on earth, he would not be a priest at all, since there are already those who offer the gifts according to the law.

5 They serve a copy and shadow of the heavenly things, just as Moses was warned when he was about to complete the tent: "See that you make everything," he says, "according to the pattern shown to you on the mountain."

6 But as it is, the ministry Jesus has obtained is as much more excellent than the old as the covenant he mediates is better, since it is enacted on better promises.

7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, no place would have been sought for a second.

8 But finding fault with them he says:
"The days are coming, declares the Lord,
when I will make a new covenant
with the house of Israel and the house of Judah.

9 It will not be like the covenant I made with their ancestors
on the day I took them by the hand
to lead them out of the land of Egypt,
because they did not remain in my covenant,
and so I turned away from them, declares the Lord.

10 This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel
after those days, declares the Lord:
I will put my laws into their minds
and write them on their hearts.
I will be their God,
and they will be my people.

11 No longer will anyone teach his neighbor,
or anyone his brother, saying, 'Know the Lord,'
because they will all know me,
from the least of them to the greatest.

12 For I will be merciful toward their wrongs,
and I will remember their sins no more."

13 By calling this covenant "new," he has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and aging is near to vanishing away.
