All of Psalms KJV

A Song of Ascents.

1 Come, bless the LORD, all you servants of the LORD,
who stand by night in the house of the LORD!

2 Lift up your hands to the holy place
and bless the LORD!

3 May the LORD bless you from Zion,
he who made heaven and earth!

Translation notes (1)
  1. Psalm 134:2a Hebrew qodesh (קֹדֶשׁ) means 'holiness' and, by extension, a holy place. The phrase may therefore be read as lifting the hands toward the sanctuary or as lifting them 'in holiness', a description of the worshipers' state. The setting in the temple at night (verse 1) favors the locative sense adopted here.
