All of Psalms KJV

A prayer of Moses, the man of God.

1 Lord, you have been our dwelling place
in every generation.

2 Before the mountains were born,
before you brought forth the earth and the world,
from everlasting to everlasting, you are God.

3 You return mortals to dust,
saying, "Return, O children of Adam."

4 For a thousand years in your sight
are like yesterday when it passes,
or a watch in the night.

5 You sweep them away in the flood of sleep;
in the morning they are like grass that sprouts anew—

6 in the morning it flourishes and sprouts;
by evening it withers and dries up.

7 For we are consumed by your anger,
and by your wrath we are terrified.

8 You have set our iniquities before you,
our hidden sins in the light of your face.

9 For all our days pass under your wrath;
we finish our years like a sigh.

10 The span of our life is seventy years,
or if we are strong, eighty years.
Yet their pride is but toil and trouble;
it passes quickly, and we fly away.

11 Who knows the power of your anger?
As you are feared, so is your wrath.

12 So teach us to number our days,
that we may gain a heart of wisdom.

13 Turn back, O LORD—how long?
Have compassion on your servants.

14 Satisfy us in the morning with your faithful love,
that we may shout for joy and be glad all our days.

15 Make us glad as many days as you have afflicted us,
as many years as we have seen evil.

16 Let your work be shown to your servants,
and your splendor to their children.

17 Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us;
establish the work of our hands for us—
the work of our hands, establish it.
